About "Introduction to WAX"
In this course I hope you will get a deeper understanding of how the WAX Blockchain works. I don't expect everyone to go through the entire course, but rather use it as a curated source of information to help onboard and educate yourself and new users as you learn more about how WAX works and operates.
Education is key, so let's do this together!
Introduction to WAX
Get a summary of all the information you will get to take a part of in the entire course.
WAX is a Carbon Neutral purpose built blockchain for NFTs. It is designed to cover the needs of creators, artists and collectors of NFTs in all shape and forms. At the time of writing this, there are over 55 million NFTs created on WAX alone.
In this lesson we will only go through the different wallets available to interact with the WAX Blockchain.
On WAX you mainly have two options for hardware wallets, Ledger and Trezor. Since most users use ledger this is what we will focus on in this lesson. Both Ledger nano S and X supports WAX through the EOS app.
Learn how to Transfer WAXP from one account to another.
Learn how to buy WAXP, how exchanges work, what a market order and a limit order is.
The WAX DEFI is a complex and powerful system, yet rather simple and straight forward once you grasp it. Check out how you can participate!
Short introduction to the NFT standards of WAX, and to be careful, don't accidentally go to a scam website.
On WAX you will find many marketplaces with different benefits. Learn more about which ones you can find here.
Here you will find a bunch of basic information that will help you more safely trade and buy NFTs. Avoid scams and make sure you continue to have fun.
On WAX we have two major standards for NFTs, Atomicassets which is the biggest one, and Simpleassets which is the first one. Today Almost all new NFTs are Atomicassets.
Atomichub NFT creator is easy to use, as long as you understand the different steps. Let's walk through them all so you master how it works.
Let's learn how to create Mint on Demand sales through atomicdrops smart contract on Bloks.
In this intro we quickly summarize how the resources work and why you need them, in the following lessons we will break this down into more details.
RAM is storage on the WAX Blockchain, it's used for smart contracts, table entries, tokens and creating NFTs. You will need more of this resource the more you use the WAX Blockchain.
On WAX, transactions are free, but you need to have CPU and NET in your account to perform them. You get resources by staking WAXP, which can later be unstaked to get your WAXP back. It's locked while you use the blockchain, and later it can be unstaked if you want the tokens back.
In this lesson we check out the basics of the bloks block explorer and how you can use it for your benefit.
Learn more about the basics of the WAX Governance system and how it is secured.
Guilds on WAX are the teams validating the blockchain, but not only that, they provide much more value than that. Let's check out their main tasks on the WAX Blockchain
The WAX testnet (For devs & Projects)
The WAX testnet is the perfect place for anyone to test their project, regardless if it require smart contracts or strictly are NFTs. It allow you to find issues or errors in a safe and convenient way.
Hope you have enjoyed this course, let's try to summarize what we have learnt so far and how to utilize this information
